Blue Dart reports rise in profit for 2008
Blue Dart Express Limited announced (28-Jan-09) its annual result for the year ended 31-Dec-08 at its board meeting held in Mumbai. The Company posted an INR 773.53 Million profit after tax for the year ended 31-Dec-08, up by 10.62% from the corresponding period of the previous year.
Jet Airways offers additional free check-in baggage allowance
Jet Airways announced (28-Jan-09) the introduction of an additional free check-in baggage allowance of 10 kgs at no cost, over and above the normal baggage allowance offered to passengers.
Emirates reduces UAE fares to 85 destinations
Emirates Airline revised (27-Jan-09) fares for tickets issued in UAE on its First, Business and Economy Class fares to 85 destinations, including cities in India, China, US, Europe, GCC, Middle East, Africa and Australia.

Car Parking Update
BMC has passed new laws which mandates 2 nos car parking for flats with more than 700 sq feet space. This is a big leap from the single parking concept earlier and will now mandate that the developers and builders start providing more parking. Nandan has already kept a line of products that will help to solve this problem. Car Elevators, Multi parking, stack parking, etc are some of the technologies we offer

Aviation Update
2008 led to a big increase in airport infrastructure and spending. Bangalore, Hyderabad Greenfield airports were established and Mumbai and Delhi were given a face lift. Aviation Ground Handling Policy also was established such that the ground handlers as an entity will be taking over the operation when on the ground. We at Nandan are coming with an extensive report as well as observations in the next episode
